With South Texas serving as a critical hub for international trade, particularly in the produce sector, these closures and reduced hours are expected to impact supply chains.

Businesses are encouraged to adjust their operations accordingly to avoid disruptions.

Transportation professionals should communicate these changes to stakeholders and plan shipments to align with the revised schedules.

To avoid last-minute complications, logistics managers should carefully review and confirm shipment schedules with carriers and customs brokers ahead of time.

Communicating potential delays to suppliers and customers is essential to maintain transparency during the holiday period.

Exploring alternative routing options can help mitigate disruptions if necessary.

Additionally, prioritizing high-value or time-sensitive shipments ensures that critical deadlines are met despite the adjusted schedules.
