In a significant stride towards sustainable agriculture, AC Foods has introduced “betterful,” a line of Regenerative Organic Certified blueberries, revolutionizing the fresh produce market with a commitment to environmental stewardship and superior taste.

Available from April through September, these blueberries can be found at select retailers such as Whole Foods, Sprouts, Bi-Rite, NewLeaf, Berkeley Bowl Marketplace, and Oliver’s across California and Oregon.

Launched with the philosophy that “good choices taste better,” betterful is designed to enhance each stage of the blueberry’s journey—from cultivation to delivery.

This innovative approach ensures that the berries not only taste fresher and sweeter but also contribute positively to the planet. The blueberries are packed with antioxidants and essential vitamins, embodying the brand’s mission to offer healthier food choices.

Central to betterful’s strategy is its pioneering use of regenerative agriculture, which emphasizes restoring natural resources and revitalizing rural communities. This method focuses particularly on soil health, crucial for producing nutrient-rich, flavorful blueberries.

Additionally, the process aids in carbon sequestration, with the berries’ deep root systems capturing CO2 that would otherwise escape into the atmosphere. Experts recognize this agricultural method as a vital component in combating climate change.

In a notable achievement, betterful’s farms in Oregon are set to receive their official Regenerative Organic Certification in 2024, following a comprehensive and rigorous evaluation. This certification is among the most prestigious globally, verifying adherence to the highest standards of soil health, animal welfare, and farmworker fairness. Once certified, betterful will join an elite group, with only 227 farms and ranches across the U.S. currently holding this certification.
