Proseal Unveils Compact CP3rs Case-Packing System to Boost Efficiency in Space-Limited Production Lines

Designed for flexibility and rapid changeovers, the CP3rs brings advanced automation to tight production spaces, adapting seamlessly to various packaging needs.

Proseal has introduced the CP3rs, a fully automated, ultra-compact case-packing system engineered to support production environments where space is limited.

The CP3rs builds upon the success of Proseal’s award-winning CP3 model, designed for optimal versatility and efficiency in high-demand packaging applications. Aimed at enhancing adaptability, the CP3rs can perform rapid product changeovers in under a minute, ensuring it meets the needs of dynamic production setups.

The CP3rs includes features for rapid product changeovers, allowing transitions in under a minute, maintaining high throughput efficiency.

With an innovative feature set, the CP3rs includes the deep reach Active Tool™, enabling it to load products into a variety of case formats, such as reusable plastic containers (RPC), shelf-ready packaging (SRP), cartons, and collapsible cases.

This functionality, combined with Proseal’s quick-release tooling and recipe-based control system, allows for seamless transitions to different packaging configurations, including shallow fill cases. The system’s advanced adaptability ensures that users can efficiently address diverse packaging requirements with ease.

According to a report from Fresh Plaza, Proseal has specifically designed the CP3rs to assist manufacturers in managing evolving production demands while maximizing space efficiency.

Nick Severn, product line manager at Proseal, emphasized the value of continuous innovation to meet the food packaging industry’s advancing needs.

“We are very excited for the CP3rs to join our range of multi-award-winning case packing solutions, our new technology is designed to seamlessly support our partners, addressing their unique constraints while enabling them to meet their needs with maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.”

The CP3rs includes essential features tailored to compact production lines, such as an ultra-compact footprint and an Active Tool™ deep-reach capability, allowing it to efficiently handle both deep-fill and shallow-fill cases. Additionally, its reversible tray feed and box feed functionalities make the system adaptable to various applications, enhancing its utility across different production setups.

Proseal has also incorporated several hallmark features from its CP series into the CP3rs. These include a recipe-driven control system for swift product changes and an automatic quick-release tool lock to streamline tooling adjustments.

The system is equipped with ProMotion+™ an advanced servo-driven tray spacing system, designed to boost tray handling precision. For enhanced operational security, the CP3rs includes ProTect™, a contactless login and audit trail feature.

The CP3rs features the deep reach Active Tool™, allowing it to load products into deep-fill cases across various formats, including RPC, SRP, cartons, and collapsible cases.

It also comes with an integral vacuum pump for reliable performance and a user-friendly control panel with step-by-step setup guides, making configuration straightforward for operators. Furthermore, the CP3rs offers on-screen data capture capabilities and cloud connectivity, supporting overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) analysis.

Beyond its standard capabilities, the CP3rs offers optional features tailored to specific production needs. These include Pack Turning Conveyors (PTC) and full integration with Proseal equipment and various peripheral systems, such as delivery systems, case erectors, labelers, check weighers, and pallet loaders.

Additionally, Proseal offers customizable delivery and discharge systems to accommodate unique factory layouts, providing greater flexibility to meet specific operational demands.

The CP3rs represents Proseal’s commitment to developing efficient and space-saving solutions for the packaging industry, positioning it as a versatile choice for manufacturers looking to streamline their processes while maintaining high throughput and flexibility in their operations.
