Mastronardi Produce® has expanded its Canadian greenhouse capacity, adding a total of 91 acres across three facilities in Ontario.
This expansion includes a newly constructed 27-acre glass greenhouse in Kingsville, Ontario, designed to enhance winter production of locally grown SUNSET® brand fruits and vegetables.
The state-of-the-art greenhouse, completed in 2020, features advanced technology and specialized lighting to optimize growing conditions, positioning the company to meet increasing consumer demand for high-quality, flavorful produce year-round.
In addition to the Kingsville facility, Mastronardi Produce will serve as the exclusive long-term marketer for two more greenhouses in the region: a 32-acre site at J.C. Fresh Farms Ltd. in Kingsville and another 32-acre facility with Orangeline Farms Limited in Leamington.
The combined capacity of these partnerships solidifies a total of 91 acres dedicated to greenhouse production under the Mastronardi Produce portfolio, a significant boost to their Canadian supply.
