Fresh tomatoes meet plant-based pasta in a nutritious partnership designed to inspire vibrant, protein-packed mealtime solutions

NatureSweet® and Barilla® have come together to encourage families everywhere to embrace flavorful, protein-packed meals.

Launching their “A Burst of Energy & Flavor” campaign from January through March, the two well known brands aim to showcase how combining NatureSweet Cherubs® snacking tomatoes and Barilla Protein+® pasta can enhance both taste and nutritional value on dinner tables across the nation.

By blending antioxidant-rich tomatoes and a 100% plant based protein pasta, they hope to demonstrate that nutritious dining can also be a joyful experience for people of all ages.

The centerpiece of this collaboration is the partnership between NatureSweet’s premium produce and Barilla’s signature pasta innovation.

NatureSweet Cherubs® snacking tomatoes, known for their vibrant color and antioxidants, are being spotlighted alongside Barilla Protein+® spaghetti, which is crafted from semolina wheat and protein derived from lentils, chickpeas, and peas.

This pasta offers 17 grams of protein per 3.5 oz serving, making it a family-friendly option that supports a balanced lifestyle.

The brands’ mission involves motivating consumers to integrate more plant based and protein-rich foods into everyday meals without sacrificing flavor.

In order to reach a wide audience, the campaign will include a variety of promotional efforts in grocery settings.

Shoppers can expect eye-catching signage in both the produce and pasta aisles, custom displays designed to draw attention to the co-branded initiative, and digital advertising targeted at online consumers.

These efforts will primarily be seen at Kroger, Kroger banner stores, Albertsons, Albertsons banner stores, Raleys, and The Giant Company, allowing customers to discover new ways to pair fresh tomatoes and high-protein pasta for a savory meal.

Inspired by this philosophy, the campaign highlights recipes featuring Barilla Protein+® Spaghetti with NatureSweet Cherubs® Tomatoes, showcasing the vibrant, full-bodied flavor the tomatoes add to the pasta.

To illustrate just how versatile these products are, the initiative also presents suggestions on how households can introduce extra protein to their diets.
