Sunkist Unveils Innovative Programs and Supports Breast Cancer Awareness at IFPA Global Produce Show

Sunkist debuts its ‘Power with the Pink Orange’ campaign in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, along with the launch of the groundbreaking Sunkist i3 initiative, showcasing innovation and social responsibility at the IFPA Global Produce and Floral Show.

Sunkist Growers, Inc., a leading name in the citrus industry, is preparing to make a significant impact at the upcoming IFPA Global Produce and Floral Show in Atlanta, Georgia. As part of their continued commitment to innovation and consumer engagement, Sunkist will debut their “Power with the Pink Orange” program, alongside the unveiling of their game-changing Sunkist i3 initiative. These programs are designed to raise awareness, support important causes, and revolutionize how citrus products are delivered to consumers.

Visitors to the show are invited to explore the immersive pink-themed Sunkist booth, #B3639, which is not only eye-catching but also environmentally friendly with its recyclable corrugated design. As part of the event, Sunkist is partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) in a collaborative effort to promote breast cancer awareness. “Our pink booth décor complements the limited-edition pink ribbon packaging and matching merchandising for the Power with The Pink Orange program to raise awareness for breast cancer support in partnership with NBCF,” explained Cassie Howard, Sunkist’s senior director of category management and marketing.

This initiative aims to highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness by providing campaign materials, such as display bins and stackable towers, to enhance in-store merchandising.

In-store education, along with creative display solutions, plays a crucial role in Sunkist’s strategy to boost the citrus category. As noted by Howard, “Fresh and innovative merchandising solutions are essential to enhancing the citrus category.” The pink ribbon packaging and promotional materials, in addition to the staff’s vibrant pink apparel, ensure that Sunkist’s support for breast cancer awareness is front and center during the show.

Sunkist’s participation in the IFPA show goes beyond raising awareness. The company’s newly launched Sunkist i3 initiative represents a significant step in technological advancement within the citrus industry. Christian Harris, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Sunkist, expressed the company’s excitement about the new program. “Our new Sunkist i3 program reflects our commitment to investing in technology, innovating with processes, and implementing with people—a trifecta we believe guarantees unmatched citrus quality,” Harris explained. This initiative is designed to optimize the supply chain, ensuring consistent quality, sizing, and dependable flavor for consumers.

The Sunkist i3 program is the result of years of planning and development, with the aim of improving the way citrus is managed and delivered, from grove to retail shelf. Retailers can expect streamlined processes that enhance product quality and customer service, reinforcing Sunkist’s position as a trusted brand in households around the world. The initiative is just the beginning of the company’s long-term vision for growth and innovation in the industry.

The IFPA show attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with Sunkist representatives at booth #B3639, where they can learn more about the Power with the Pink Orange program and the Sunkist i3 initiative. Additionally, the booth will feature limited-edition, pink-branded Sunkist tote bags as giveaways during the event, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to both innovation and social responsibility.

Sunkist Growers, Inc. has been a cooperative of family farms for over 130 years, with more than 1,000 members across California and Arizona. Known for their high-quality citrus products, including oranges, lemons, grapefruit, and mandarins, Sunkist remains dedicated to sustainability, innovation, and the delivery of fresh produce to consumers worldwide.

By partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Sunkist is contributing to the NBCF’s mission of “Helping Women Now®” through initiatives such as early detection, education, and patient support services. This collaboration highlights Sunkist’s dual focus on health awareness and product excellence, making their presence at the IFPA show both impactful and purposeful.
